Every morning, I wake up to the sound of temple bells and the comforting aroma of chai drifting through our home. As the city of Varanasi slowly comes to life, I find myself wondering whether my true love is somewhere out there, living an ordinary day just like me.
I spend my afternoons helping at home, listening to old Bollywood love songs, and dreaming of a man who will understand the silence behind my smile. I don't need a palace or expensive gifts. I want someone who remembers how I take my tea, waits for me when the streets get crowded, and holds my hand as we watch the evening light dance on the Ganges.
Sometimes, I visit the river at sunset and let the cool breeze carry away my worries. I look at the boats drifting across the water and imagine sharing that peaceful moment with someone special.
Perhaps he is closer than I think. Perhaps one day, an unexpected meeting will turn an ordinary evening into the beginning of our own love story.
Until then, I will keep my heart open. Because somewhere in this beautiful, restless world, I believe there is a love meant to find me.
